| The History of Gay Bathhouses documents the history of gay baths & gay saunas from the late nineteenth century until the present day, including interviews, gay bath house memorabilia and artwork, interviews with men who went to the baths, photos, the legendary gay baths of the twentieth century, information about bath house raids, and more. The information on this site was used in the Spartacus Gay Sauna Guide. It was a pleasure to be mentioned in their gay bathhouse directory. In addition, I would like to mention that this website is named "GayTubs" in honor of "Bathhouse Betty" a.k.a.
